DEFINATION –
According to Sec 2(71) of the company act 2015 a ‘PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY’ means
i – A company which is not a private limited company
ii – Public limited company has a minimum paid up capital as may be prescribed.
A company which is a subsidiary company of a company, not being a public limited company, shall be deemed to be public company for the purpose of this act even where such subsidiary continues to be a private company in its articles.
Thus a public company may be said to be an association consisting of not a private company within the meaning of the act. The share and debenture of a public company may be listed on a stock exchange and are offered to public for sale. The minimum 5 lakhs paid up capital and minimum 7 number of member required for the incorporation of PUBLIC LIMITED Company.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Obtaining DSC and DINApplication for company name
Company registration FORM, MOA and AOA submission
Apply for PAN and TAN and BANK ACCOUNT
THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED ARE:
• Identity Proof of all the directors and shareholders.• Address Proof of all the directors and the shareholders.
• PAN Card of all the directors and shareholders.
• Utility Bill of the office that you have proposed as your registered office for your Public Limited Company.
• A No-Objection certificate from the landlord of your registered office.
• DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) of the directors.
• DIN (Director Identification Number) of all the directors.
• Memorandum of Association.
• The article of association.
Once all the documents are obtained, you can apply for your company’s name approval. After its approval, you can submit all the documents along with the prescribed form (INC 21) and fees to the registrar of the companies. An application for Certificate of Commencement of Business is also filed. After all the verification you have issued a certificate, hence completing the incorporation of your company successfully.
